What I Like Best About My Field

I like the elegance of genetics as a science. I like discovering things no one else has ever known before. I enjoy being a part of the scientific legacy of classical genetics

Personal Challenges you have faced:

Balancing work with family. Also, believing in myself and that I was smart enough to belong

What is the Future of Forest Biotechnology?

The science will be used to domesticate organisms to adapt to new and changing environments. A major dichotomy will occur between producing plants for products and using the technology for conservation purposes. It will provide an interface between molecular biology and ecology.
